About Distinctive Kitchens and Baths
Distinctive Kitchens and Baths was founded in 2008 as a subsidiary of Bob Stern Building Company. Bob and Ron Stern decided that the time was right to get into the cabinetry business so they could better control the product and service they were selling to their clients. With two distinct cabinetry lines (DeWils Custom Cabinetry, and Kith Kitchens), along with the ability to create custom cabinetry by our fine local craftsmen, Distinctive Kitchens and Baths has a product to fit any budget.
Distinctive Kitchens and Baths is family-owned and operated right here in Birmingham, MI. Since our company opened in 2008, we’ve treated every customer like they were a part of our family. Other companies may offer similar services, but our services are the best, and come with a personal touch.
Bob Stern founded Bob Stern Building Company in 1965 because of his passion and love of the remodeling business. Bob is known throughout the area as one of the premier contractors with enough knowledge of the industry to fill numerous books. Bob has built a business based on trust and commitment, and servicing his clients.
Ron Stern joined his father Bob Stern in the remodeling business in 2003. Since then, Ron has taken over the day to day operations of Bob Stern Building Company. In 2008, Ron opened his first remodeling and design showroom in Birmingham, MI. Today, Ron is the lead designer and sales professional for Distinctive Kitchens and Baths, which is located inside the current location in Birmingham.
